AdWords "Gold Rush" began to die down
A few years ago a similar phenomenon happened on the internet - Google had launched its AdWords program. Many advertising pioneers rushed into this unchartered territory, some heading for fortunes, others for hardship. There were cheap keywords with low competition, lots of money to be made with Google Cash, and an incredibly fast and affordable way to market virtually any business online - even for the small guy.
Profiting from AdWords began to resemble panning for gold in a river - affordable, quality keywords were no longer easy to find, and the fate of many AdWords advertisers matched the fate of the '49ers - they gave up on Google AdWords and some even went out of business.
